- An Entrepeneurship movement is at an infant stage.
- UCSC is a major US university
- Philz Coffee should be a major catalyst for all this if they end up coming in. Okay, I'm a little biased here =) as adore the Palo Alto Middlefield shop.
- There is most likely demand to bring current tech companies into the city. I'm sure all the employees from Google, Apple, Cisco Systems, Facebook, etc, wouldn't mind a satellite office opening there.
- Santa Cruz Wine Country is only 20 to 30 minutes away (depending where in this city you start from)!
- The weather is absolutely amazing overall! Between April and October, it's gorgeous. During the winter months, it's not bad, either. Heck, it rarely gets below 35 deg F, which is comparatively better than most cities in the world! One of the few cities in the world that have the least variance between the hottest times of the year and the coldest. At its peak, the temperature rarely goes above 90 deg F.
- So many incredible, yet simple sights that are just down the road, so to speak.
- Such a peaceful area that inherently reduces your stress

"Tech Triangle"
Santa Cruz is such a beautiful place. Not really known for anything related to the Silicon Valley, other than being one of its getaways (Napa Valley being another). However, I've come to realize that a great number of Santa Cruz citizens work in the Silicon Valley! This has been known for quite some time; however, there's gotta be some people living in the beach city that are major players in innovation today. I have to believe that Santa Cruz will eventually develop a innovation culture of its own. Most of the attributes that make Silicon Valley attractive today are contained within this city.
